Shoulder
So I got the results of my MRI back and there are no tears in my shoulder – Thank you Lord!!! Instead I have evidently sprained my shoulder – never knew that was possible. Anyway, now I have 2 weeks where I’m supposed to rest my shoulder and not lift anything. It’s already driving me crazy not being able to do anything with my arm. I mean really, how are you not supposed to use your right arm? 
But, I’m really thankful it’s only 2 weeks instead of 2 months if it had been a tear. Thanks for your prayers!!!

Denial
Did you ever have a time where you just felt like your falling apart? This morning I spent almost 2 hours at the dentist as he replaced two lose fillings and filed a cavity. Then yesterday I went to see the Doctor about my shoulder. I actually hurt my shoulder while I was working-out a little over a month ago, but as usual, I just down played it and worked through the pain. I know, not smart, but I really just don’t like going to doctors. Anyway, the doc says he thinks I’ve torn a couple muscles in the rotator cuff. So, he scheduled me for an MRI on Monday. Until then I’ll just have to keep myself together with duct tape and superglue. Of course Sandi keeps reminding me that I’m not 20 anymore, but I still feel like I’m 20, so I guess I’m just going to have to up my insurance. J

Need More Gas
Dude, what is up with the gas prices? I just got done filling up and I’m watching my son’s college fund go into the tank. 
I think I’m going to convert my vehicles to Flintstones power. Ya know, cut a hole in the floorboard and have everyone’s feet move us a long. Seriously, I think the next stimulus package the government puts out should be gas cards. Thanks for listening to my venting.

Beware of Home Improvement Projects
Have you ever noticed how home improvement projects tend to multiply? You might recall a few weeks ago I wrote a blog about putting down tile in our bathrooms. Well, if your experiences with home improvement projects are like mine, then you know the tile was just the start. After we got the tile down it was apparent that we must repaint the master bath. Now, I don’t know about you, but at the Conrad household that’s a several week endeavor just to figure out what color paint we’re doing. So we find the right paint, but before we can start we must first paint the ceiling in the bathroom because of a leak we had from the roof. But that’s not all, once of course we start painting then we realize that every room in the house could use a little touchup and the base boards could sure use a new coat as well. After the ceiling and walls are painted then it’s time to accessorize. Guys, I don’t know about you but accessorizing goes way over my head. And of course somehow all this equates to needing new blinds for the sliding glass door?!? I love these projects.

Ugh
Not to mimic Darrell’s blogs from a couple of weeks ago but; I hate being sick! I’ve had this weird kind of cold this week. It started on Monday with an extremely sore throat – couldn’t even swallow kind of thing. Then when I woke up on Tuesday, the sore throat was gone, but I had some serious sinus pressure and my ears were totally stuffed. Then today I wake up and all the pressure is gone but my nose is running and my head is spinning. Oh, I hate this. What’s even worse is I can’t stand sitting still. So these kind of colds tend to last awhile because I just won’t stop doing stuff. Maybe I’ll take some Nyquil during the day and see if I can get some rest then.
